Indonesian coconut enjoys sweet spot in Hungary

Fresh picks: A man peels coconuts before dry them into copra in Sigi, Central Sulawesi. (Antara/Zainuddin) Hungarian businesses have urged their Indonesian counterparts to export more coconut products to their country. “Today’s coconut supplies from around the world, including Indonesia, don’t meet demand in Hungary and other countries in central and eastern Europe,” said Hungarian businessman Adam Kapas, whose company Mayers Kft is a major Indonesian coconut importer. “The high demand [for coconut products] and short supplies lead to continuing increases in price, especially for coconut oil, which increased between 7 and 10 percent each month in 2016,” he added. Adam estimates that Hungary needs 1.5 million liters of coconut milk and 500,000 liters of coconut oil per year. His firm supplies 700,000 liters of coconut milk annually to the domestic market. Indonesian coconut exports to Hungary include coconut cooking oil, desiccated coconut, coconut water, coconut cream,...

Use Charcoal Briquettes for Cheap and Non-Toxic Odor Removal

Gambar
Grilling season might be coming to a close but don't put the charcoal away yet. Charcoal is a cheap and non-toxic deodorizer you can use anywhere in your home. Photo by  Gregory Moine . Household design and tips blog Apartment Therapy highlights the odor-banishing power of charcoal:  As for how to distribute them, you can simply lay a few out in a metal tray. Other options: sew pouches for them or use an old sock, then hang them in inconspicuous areas. Line a basket with foil or plastic and lay the briquettes inside. Or simply set them out on a tray on a shelf or side table: the black little pillows actually look kind of cool!  Be sure to get natural briquettes without mesquite or easy-light additives. The upside to buying additive-free charcoal is that it's usually cheaper than fancy BBQ charcoal so you can stock up on it and place it liberally. Have a trick of your own for dealing with odors in a kid and pet-friendly way? Let's hear about it in the comments...

Manfaatkan Arang Tempurung, Mampu Hasilkan Miliran Rupiah

Gambar

Logging ban fuels demand for water firm’s briquettes

Gambar
The temporary ban on logging have been a boon for the Nakuru Water and Sanitation Services Company (Nawassco). Its briquettes business is now roaring more than before as households seek alternative sources of fuel. The business that kicked off a year ago involves making the fuel from human waste tapped from the sewerage system. Nawassco Site Manager John Irungu says they produce two tonnes of the fuel monthly which is way below the current demand of about five tonnes. “We sell the briquettes at Sh30 per kilogramme and the demand has gone high in the past few weeks from across the country,” says Mr Irungu. Initially, he says one of the by-products needed was the sawdust which is used as a biomass. However lack of sawdust forced them to use alternative biomass which include coffee husks, macadamia shells, wheat husks, water hyacinth, coconut husks and pineapple leaves and rice husks. “Through our experiments, we have also found bagasse suitable for the purpos...

Meningkatkan Produktifitas Rakyat Indonesia Dengan Cara Mengolah Kelapa di Dalam Negeri Terlebih Dahulu

Gambar
Puluhan tahun, bahkan mungkin ratusan tahun, kita mengekspor  sumber daya alam  Indonesia.

Added Value Ekspor Briket Tempurung Kelapa Bagi Negara.

Hmm, manufaktur.. Apa hubungan kelapa sebagai tree of life dengan manufaktur?
